about the artist
My name is Olivia Curell. I'm native to Louisville, Kentucky where I grew up. I started painting at the age of 13, taking art classes throughout high school. After spending two semesters at the University of Louisville, I transferred to Indiana University Southeast where I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. While in college, I found my favorite ways to paint and love for textured paintings. My inspiration comes from God and His creations in nature, from the most glorious sunsets to the smallest bug. I see God's handiwork in everything, and that is what I reflect in my paintings. While I have now graduated college, I strive to develop my techniques further and continue to express God's greatness. Now, some of my work is being featured in the Arts Association of Oldham County's Gallery 104, located on Main Street, Lagrange KY. You can visit their website here:

When I'm not painting, you can find me spending time with my friends and family, reading books, or spending time with God. I have a cat named Cleopatra, or Cleo, who I love to cuddle up with. I enjoy going to Renaissance Fairs and art fairs to see all the creative things people make!
